- "The letter states that Chicago-based VIScorp would acquire Amiga
- Technologies, including the intellectual properties of the former Commodore
- Business Machines, excepted Commodore trademarks. The transaction value is
- approximately US $40 million. Terms were not disclosed, and the pending
- acquisition would be subject to approval by both companies' boards of
- directors." (from http://www.amiga.de/)
-
- Maybe I'm stupid, but doesnt this sound like the Amiga is being shipped
- off to become a set-top box.
-
- Is this the end of the Amiga that we all know and love?? This is beginning
- to get me *very* worried about the state of the Amiga! Has Dr. PK really
- given up on the Amiga?? Is the Power Amiga just vapourware, and is the
- Walker just a little slice of false hope??
-
- Anyone of importance at AT/ESCOM/VIScorp care to comment, and remove this
- devoted Amiga users fears that the Amiga is truly dead!
